Week 2 has absolutely flown by. I entered it feeling energized and ready to accomplish my goals. I have been feeling so empowered by my results, it’s so motivating and gratifying to move forward when the going gets tough. Daily Goal: Drink 128 Oz of Water
Between nursing, exercising, organizing, and everything else on a busy Mama’s plate, I work to drink 128 ounces of water every day. The ONLY way I can accomplish this is by making it fun – yes, FUN – to drink water. To make drinking water less of a chore or just plain old boring, the water has to be one of these things:
- Amazingly tasty – I either buy some yummy Trader Joe’s carbonated water, brew some cold teas (like these from Twinings), or add a few drops of MiO Water Enhancers. My favorites are the ones with extra vitamins.
- In a container I am excited to drink from – Putting water in adorable glasses goes a long way in helping me drink more. As silly as it sounds, I get excited to fill and refill my new glass cups with bamboo lids and straws. I went for the 16 oz versions so I can still add ice and make tasty ice coffees
- Or, feel like a challenge or game! I use either a really large container like this one to visually see how much I’ve had to drink and feel accomplished, or I use my smart water bottle. This water bottle not only tracks what I drink all day, it glows to remind me to drink, and even sends me reminders on my phone. I always feel like I’m trying to beat a goal or catch up, which fits my personality.
Weekly Goal: Kitchen Organization
This week really helped me see that I can and should eliminate things I have not used in YEARS from my life. Cleaning out expired food from your pantry really lights your fire to purge and make space. This will serve as an amazing example for how ruthless I should be as I keep moving forward.
Those gifts I never touched? GONE. Appliances collecting dust? BYE. It feels so good to let go without guilt. What will happen to those items if I do nothing with them? They’ll just stay there taking up space and energy until maybe I move, and they just go someplace else. Enjoy some of my purge and favorite kitchen items below.

Coffee Bar Favorites:
- Starbucks Classic Syrup and Pump (Yum!)
- Gold Espresso Spoons – It just feels so luxurious to stir with these for some reason.
- De’Longhi Dinamica Plus Coffee Maker We splurged on this almost a year ago and it has long since paid for itself! This bad boy powers me through my day and makes such tasty coffee.
- Zero mugs (these are similar) for warm and cozy fall hot chocolate nights!

Week 3: Done and Dusted
I am breathing a big sigh of relief that this week is in the bag. Reorganizing your kitchen can be really daunting since we spend so much time there and it serves so many purposes.
I didn’t realize that I had carved my pantry out for its own week later on in my challenge plan. I obviously accomplished more than I thought I could and will have a free week to fill. I am thinking I will prep and paint my deck outside for a fun fall space. Since the paint will be heavier duty, this it absolutely something I’d like to accomplish pre-pregnancy.
If you’re following along, stay strong Mama! Tell us about your progress in the comments and be proud you’re moving forward. See you next week!
