What You Can (and Can’t) Wash in the Baby Brezza

🍼 Medela Swing Maxi & Freestyle Hands-Free Cups
The Medela Swing Maxi and Freestyle Hands-Free collection cups were a fantastic fit out of the pump systems I tested in the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro.
I was able to fit both wearable collection cups, the included milk bottles, and the bottle caps in the same wash cycle, making cleanup after a pumping session incredibly convenient.
This is how I loaded everything:
Top Rack
- Flanges
- Caps
- Diaphragms
- Small silicone pieces
Bottom Rack
- Collection cups
- Milk bottles
Everything fit comfortably without feeling overcrowded, and there was still good room for water circulation.

This was my first time opening this set and let me just say I can’t wait to try them! the silicone flange parts feel comfortable, and I love that they came with inserts.
💛 Willow Go Pump Parts in the Baby Brezza

This was the tightest fit I observed to far, but all parts do fit.

⚠️ How I Got the Willow Go to Work in the Baby Brezza
At first, my Willow Go parts did not seem compatible with the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer. The wash cycle struggled initially with the standard tall center tube setup.
After troubleshooting, I switched the Baby Brezza to the SHORT center tube configuration instead. Once I made that change, the Willow Go containers and silicone parts fit much more comfortably and the cycle ran normally.
If you’re washing Willow Go parts in the Baby Brezza, I highly recommend using the short tube setup shown below.
🍼 Momcozy M5 Compatibility
The Momcozy M5 collection cups fit surprisingly well in the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro. In fact, there was still plenty of extra room left over for flanges and other larger pump parts.
The only small challenge I ran into was keeping the collection cups standing upright while loading the washer.
Here’s the trick that worked for me:
💡 Turn the collection cup upside down and hook the notch over one of the Baby Brezza tray spokes. It keeps the cup stable throughout the wash cycle and leaves plenty of room for the remaining parts.
Once I figured that out, the M5 became one of the easiest wearable pumps to organize in the washer.
How to Get the Cleanest Wash
- Use the wash + dry setting for pump parts
- Space items evenly so air can circulate
- face duck bills pointing up or water will collect in them
- Avoid overcrowding small silicone pieces

🧼 How I Usually Load Pump Parts in the Baby Brezza
After testing multiple pump systems, I’ve found that the easiest way to make everything fit well (and dry properly) is to separate larger parts from smaller silicone pieces.
Here’s the setup that works best for me most of the time:
Bottom Rack
I usually place the larger items on the bottom, including:
- bottles
- flanges
- wearable pump containers
- collection cups
- larger hard plastic pieces
The bottom gives these bulkier items more room for water circulation and helps prevent overcrowding.
Top Rack
The smaller parts usually go on the top rack or in the small parts basket, including:
- inserts
- duckbills
- diaphragms
- valves
- membranes
- silicone seals
Keeping the tiny silicone pieces separated on top helps them wash more evenly and prevents them from getting trapped underneath larger items.
Pro Mama Tip: Leaving a little space between silicone parts makes a HUGE difference in drying performance — especially for wearable pumps with lots of small pieces.

❓Why aren’t my parts drying fully?
Make sure you’re not overloading the racks — leave airflow gaps. Try angling some parts to allow water to flow out during washing. You can finish drying with a silicone drying mat.
❓Can I add dish soap?
For the best clean, I really recommend getting the Baby Brezza detergent tablets. They do an amazing job, and adding too much soap could leave you with a bubble and soap residue mess.
❓Is it safe for tubing?
No, the heat and moisture can damage tubing — always hand wash (very carefully to not get water inside) and air dry.
❓Do I need to descale the Baby Brezza Washer Pro?
Yes — regular descaling keeps your Baby Brezza Washer Pro running efficiently and prevents cloudy residue or white mineral buildup on your bottles and pump parts. The company recommends descaling about once a month (or more often if you have hard water). Here are the Baby Brezza descaling tablets.
❓How often should I clean the Baby Brezza filter?
It’s best to clean the filter about once a week if you’re using the Baby Brezza daily, or every 10–12 cycles. The filter collects tiny bits of formula residue and mineral deposits, which can affect how well your parts get cleaned over time.

My Real-Mom Recommendation
